ADVANCED NOTICE TO PARISHIONERS
Road closure Brixton to Yealmpton March 2024
The A379 will be closed to all traffic from Monday 4th March to Friday 8th March at Brixton Dip for patching. Devon County Council Highways have arranged for buses and emergency vehicles only to continue to have direct access through the Dip. All other vehicles must follow the diversion signs. Please make plans for these 5 days bearing in mind that access to and from Yealmpton will be limited to using the bus or by following the diversion signs which will be to the west and the north of the village. The road must be closed in this way to ensure the safety of the people completing the repairs.
Road Closure Brixton to Hercules Road, Sherford.
Brixton Parish Council has been informed that the closure of Red Lion Hill and Stamps Hill to Hercules Road at Sherford will be extended beyond the date of the current Traffic Order – July 2024. A further application for a Traffic Order to extend the period of closure will be made by the Sherford Consortium in due course.
